Privacy Policy
Introduction
Oraclely ("we", "us") is a daily-oracle app that draws you a card each morning and lets you ask deeper questions across tarot, four-pillar (四柱推命), and Western astrology. Readings are for entertainment purposes only. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Oraclely you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
- Account information — your name (optional), email address, and authentication identifiers, created when you sign up. Used to manage your account and send you the daily reading you asked for.
- Birth profile (optional) — name, date, time, and place of birth, only if you choose to use four-pillar or astrology systems. This is sensitive to you, so it is stored solely to compute your readings and is never sold.
- Reading data — the cards drawn for you, your saved gallery, the questions you type for a deep reading, and whether a reading was marked "sensitive". Questions are used only to generate that reading.
- Usage and device metadata — pages viewed, feature usage, language, time zone, approximate region, and basic device/browser data, used to operate and improve the service and for security.
- Payment data — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number.
How We Use Information
- To draw and deliver your daily reading and any deep readings you request.
- To send notifications you opt into (email and/or browser push) at your chosen time.
- To provide support, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve Oraclely.
Third-Party Processors
We share the minimum data needed with vetted providers who process it on our behalf:
- AI text & image generation — your typed question and card context are sent to AI providers (e.g. DeepSeek for text; Replicate / fal.ai for FLUX card art) to produce a reading and its artwork. We instruct providers not to train on this data where that option is available.
- Database & storage — Supabase (database) and Cloudflare R2 (cached card art).
- Email — Resend (transactional and daily-reading email).
- Payments — Stripe.
- Analytics — privacy-respecting product analytics.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data Retention
Account, birth-profile, and gallery data are kept while your account is active. You can delete individual readings, your birth profile, or your entire account at any time; deletion removes your data from our active systems within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for sign-in and preferences, and a small set of analytics cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; some features (such as staying signed in) need them.
Your Choices and Rights
- Access, correct, export, or delete your data from Settings, or by emailing us.
- Turn notifications on or off and pick your delivery time and channel.
- Withdraw consent for the optional birth profile by deleting it.
Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK, California, Japan), you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or the APPI; we honour these requests.
Children
Oraclely is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy and will note the new date above. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
